Manila International Book Fair 2011 happens on September 14-18, 2011 (Wednesday-Sunday), 10:00am-8:00pm at the SMX Convention Center. Year after year, we always tell ourselves we will just go take a look around but always end up having enough book loot to last us for the next 12 months

With today’s modern technology, what seemed impossible or difficult to do before is made possible now, with the click of a mouse.

Distilled, mineral, sparkling, alkaline, purified.. there are so many types of water out there.

For our family, especially for the kids, we used to buy several bottles of Brand W distilled water every week because of its perceived safety and cleanliness vs drinking tap water. It just became natural for us to extend its use as the pediatrician has recommended them for newborn babies. If they’re safe for babies, they’re safe for kids and adults, right? KM is now a first grader and MJ a toddler. How I wish I researched on this earlier. Read the rest of this entry »

Math is currently KM’s favorite subject. Just a little bit more than two weeks into our homeschooling for this school year, and we are almost done with First Quarter lessons. Hurray! That’s how excited he is in learning the next lessons. We will have enough time for fun exercises, games and drills, yey!
Singapore Math was a hit with KM last year (I’m thinking of going back to it sometime this year). It is perfect for KM’s learning style as he easily grasped the concepts and would always request that we study it first.
As for games, Rocket Math is currently KM’s favorite on the iPad.
